Dr. Krishna Gathani (Diplomate, American Board of Podiatric Medicine), is born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Bellarmine University. He earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. He went on to complete an extensive four-year surgical and rearfoot reconstructive residency. He spent intern year at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, in Bennington, VT, gaining immense knowledge in rural and community podiatric care, wound care, foot and ankle trauma. Dr. Gathani further specialized at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa, FL, where he worked closely with active duty military and veterans with a focus on limb salvage, wound care, trauma, and sports medicine. Placing surgical emphasis on foot and ankle trauma, charcot reconstruction with External Fixators and Total Ankle Replacement. Dr. Gathani completed his residency at NYC Health + Hospitals/ South Brooklyn Health in Brooklyn, NY, where he served as Chief Resident on the Podiatric Surgery service. Dr. Gathani sharpened his surgical techniques in sports medicine, limb salvage, wound care, Minimally Invasive Surgery, forefoot, rearfoot & ankle trauma and reconstruction.

When Dr. Gathani is not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling the globe, hiking, and working out. His favorite destination is the Caribbean. Dr. Gathani looks forward to meeting you and helping you get back on your feet!
